A new journey begins…

Greetings and welcome to the blog of W. Kim Tae Kwon Do Mount Prospect.

An introduction is in order.  My name is Headmaster James Netzel.  I am the director of the Mount Prospect location, the third (and newest) location of W. Kim Tae Kwon Do.

Tae Kwon Do is my life and passion and I’ve been training in it for the past 27 years.

A student once told me that I should write a book about the history of W. Kim Tae Kwon Do.  I don’t know if I’m the best one to do that but I feel that I do have some good stories and insight to share.  And since the history of W. Kim keeps going, and I keep getting older, there should be some good stories and wisdom to come.

My goal in starting this blog is to impart some history, expand people's knowledge about Tae Kwon Do and do my best to keep in touch with my students and help further enrich people’s lives.

Next week, I will be starting a series on ‘Children Home Rules - It’s Not Just for Kids’.

Our school has a set or rules that we distribute to our students to help reinforce the things that their parents are already teaching them at home.  It is one of the main ways that we try to team up with parents to help bring their children more success.
